Miscellaneous FAQ’s

Q. Who is responsible for roadside ditches?

A. Montgomery County Precinct 3 is responsible for the roadside ditches. The Woodlands Joint Powers Agency (or MUD) is responsible for other drainage ditches in The Woodlands.

Q. Why is my water cloudy at first but when I leave it on the counter it clears?

A. Cloudy or milky water is generally caused by air in the pipes. It is most common after a broken water main is repaired and trapped air remains in the line. This is not harmful in any way. Appearance of water may range from a light cloudiness to a milky, opaque color. The water will clear-up as the bubbles rise to the top, and then dissipate.
